Horse Safari
Horse India welcomes groups of between 4 - 12 riders. We can cater for all riding abilities, but to get the most from the holidays you should be comfortable at canter in open countryside. We have a rider weight limit of 90kg.
You can book your own private group, join one of our open groups, or if short on time ask us for Day rates.
The most popular time to ride in Rajasthan is between October and March however, the rides can be booked for any time of year to suit your required dates, and will be tailored to suit the weather conditions (summer heat / monsoon rain etc) as well as your riding abilities and requirements. Families with children, and non-riding partners welcome.
Where are we? You may have heard of the 'Golden Triangle' - well we ride the bit in the middle!
Equidistant between the blue city of Jodhpur, the lake city of Udaipur, and within easy reach of the pink city of Jaipur.

Festive Christmas Palace to Palace

Travel from Palace to Palace by Marwari horse, retracing old routes and following a trail along the foothills of the Aravalli Hills.
These are small family country Palaces and you will walk into another era, staying in rooms furnished from days gone by.
Dine by candlelight and soak up the architecture of these old family homes.
We also explore the amazing Jain temple at Ranakpur en route.
You ride along sand tracks between the softly moulded hills,
passing rural villages and lakes.
On New Years eve we give you a spectacular evening horse show
and special dinner.

Balotra Fair, Godwar Festival
& Leopard Trail

Visit the biblical Balotra Tilwara Horse Fair . Ride through the fair to see horses, camels and cattle being traded then transfer to Kumbhalgarh where you start your ride on the Leopard's trail. We ride down through the wooded forest, passing cool streams to arrive on the hot plains, camping by farms and lakes and stop off at the Godwar Festival and horse show where you can take part in the mounted games. We then make our way between the smooth rocks and hills to the scrub forest at Bali, and then set camp for two nights at Jawai Bandh, transferring to jeeps for morning and evening excursions into the park for Leopard safari, finally we transfer to Udaipur to see the lake and City Palace.

The Leopard trail is a wonderful mix of terrain and history ~ starting in Udaipur we then transfer to meet your horses high in the Aravelli hills 1100 meters up at Kumbhalgarh Fort. We ride down through the wooded forest, passing cool streams to arrive on the hot plains, camping by farms and lakes. We make our way between the smooth rocks and hills to the scrub forest at Bali, and then set camp for two nights at Jawai Bandh, transferring to jeeps for morning and evening excursions into the park for Leopard safari, finally we transfer to Jodhpur to experience the imposing Mehrangarh Fort.

Osian Desert Dunes
Experience the Thar Desert on our Osian Desert Dunes ride. Starting with a visit to the impressive Mehrangarh Fort at Jodhpur we then transfer a short distance to Mathania to meet your horses and camp.
On this ride you pass small rural tribal hamlets and you will see the local style round thatched mud huts. The tracks are long and sandy and make for some good canters up the sand dunes to gain spectacular views.
We camp in the desert scrub where you wake up to the sounds of desert life. We end at Khichan and hope to see the migratory Demoiselle Cranes
before transfer back to Jodhpur.
